Introduction to SpeedReading101
Workshop
· 1. “First, always read Print-on-Paper holding the page at a 30% angle.
The rest of the world reads Flat-on-the-table or when in bed, “Overhead”.
Both are bad for you.
· 2. “Learning is Not lecturing. It is permitting the students, kids &
executives to Experience & Do.
Real-genuine learning occurs through a) Trial-And-Error, b) Cause-And-Effect,
and c) Stimulus-And-Response.”
· 3. “Second, in order to Double your learning-& memory-skills, always
read Print using a Pen or Pencil to Underline the sentences of each
page. The use of a Pacer/Pointer activates Peripheral (wide) Vision. So
what?
· Peripheral vision is your Side vision, and permits you to read SIX-times
more words at one-time than Normal –
Foveal-Central-Vision. SpeedReading
use Peripheral 90% of the time. You quickly Double your learning &
long-term memory – permanently.
· Online, use your CURSOR (mouse-arrow) to underline the sentences you
read. In a week, it become a comfortable habit.
· 4. Third, always maintain a S-M-I-L-E on your face while reading. Your
smile activates three (3) critical facial muscles that help maintain
Peripheral-Vision. Your Smiling-Squint double your learning & memory skills.
· 5. Fourth, use ‘Six-WHs? + “How” for Note-Taking when you finish a page,
article, report or book both for Print &
Online. It’s easy, fast & helps
double your concentration.
· 6. SpeedReaders Chunk (divide, separate) a sentence into three (3)
parts of 3-4 words each. Peripheral Vision enable you to avoid stopping at
each-and-every word of each sentence.
· The faster you read with comprehension, the greater your Context within
the sentence. This enable you to triple (3x) your learning and double (2x) your
memory.
